Wise Words from Solomon
King Solomon asked God for wisdom, and he shared warm, wise words to help us live well. Come and listen to his gentle sayings.
One quiet night, King Solomon could have asked God for anything at all. He thought and thought, and then he said softly, “Please give me wisdom to know what is right.” He did not ask for gold or a tall crown. This humble wish made God very, very happy.
So God filled Solomon’s heart with wonderful wisdom. People came from near and far to hear him speak. Solomon shared little sayings, like tiny treasures, to help them make good choices. Each one was simple and warm, easy for even small ears to hold.
“Be gentle with your words,” Solomon said with a kind smile. He knew that words can hug a heart or hurt it. “Soft, kind words make hearts glad,” he told them, “like sweet honey from the honeycomb.” The people listened closely and felt warm inside.
“Always tell the truth,” Solomon said, his voice steady and sure. Truth is strong and good, like a tree with deep roots. “Be fair to everyone,” he went on, “and be kind to each person you meet.” Big or small, friend or stranger, every heart matters.
“But most of all,” Solomon said gently, “trust in God with all your heart.” He folded his hands and looked up with quiet joy. “Even when the path is hard to see, God will guide your way.” The people went home with happy, peaceful hearts, holding his words like a warm light.
Thank You, God, for wisdom. Help me to be kind, honest, and to trust You with all my heart.
